OUTDOOR CLASSES

Our outdoor classes aim to offer you a more realistic environment for you and your dog to train in. These weekly lessons are relaxed and sociable, with a strong focus on having fun and spending time with your dog to encourage good behaviour and a strong relationship. Each week we can cover a variety of activities, including the following:

Livestock Control • Outdoor Recalls • Scent & Retrieve

Heelwork • Socialisation • Stays • Agility

Ultimately, we want you to have an all-round good dog, and our classes offer the diversity to achieve this partnership.

Outdoor classes are held:

Saturday afternoon from 14.00 until around 16.00,

Sunday morning from 09.30 until approximately 12:00.

Saturday classes are held at an outdoor venue near Bridport.

Sundays conclude with coffee, cake and a chance to talk about how much we love dogs after every session. These take place at Miles Cross Farm in Symondsbury, just outside of Bridport. Our facilities include indoor and outdoor training areas, in the yard and out in the fields.

We train whatever the weather, so put on your welly boots and come join us for a morning of laughs and learning!

FAQ

Is outdoor training suitable for my dog?

Our outdoor classes are highly recommended for gundog breeds, and would also be suitable for pastoral and working breeds. They need to be fit enough to work for a couple of hours, and suited to running through long grass and rough terrain.

How can I join?

The outdoor classes are proving very popular, so gaining a place on our Sunday sessions is now more controlled. We require our members to have a minimum of a Bronze Good Citizen's award.
